Data deletion

How to delete content, disconnect social accounts, and delete your woaa.social account and workspace, including data we received from Meta, Google, TikTok and other platforms.

Last updated:

1. Delete individual items in the portal

Signed-in team members with the right role can delete items at any time:

  1. Uploaded documents and sources: open Business, find the source and choose Remove.
  2. Images and video: open Library, open the item and delete it.
  3. Facts and rules: open Business, find the fact and choose Remove, or edit it.
  4. Campaigns: open the campaign, choose Delete and type DELETE to confirm.

2. Revoke access to a connected social account

Revoking access on the platform stops woaa.social from publishing or reading data for that account right away. Menu names can change; these were current when this page was updated.

PlatformWhere to revoke

To have us also erase the stored access token and the data we received from that platform, email us as described in step 4 and name the platform and account.

3. Export your data first (optional)

The workspace owner can download a copy of the workspace from Settings, Account, Retention and export before deletion. Deletion cannot be undone.

4. Delete your account and workspace

  1. Email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with, using the subject “Delete my account”.
  2. Include your workspace name and say whether you want to delete the whole workspace, your own login, or data from a specific connected account.
  3. We will reply to confirm your identity and the scope of the request. Only a workspace owner can delete a whole workspace.
  4. After you confirm, we delete the data and email you when it is done, within 30 days of your confirmation.

If you are a team member rather than an owner, an owner can also remove you from the workspace in Settings, Team.

What happens when we delete a workspace

  • Connected account tokens for Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Google and other platforms are deleted, so we can no longer act on those accounts.
  • Data received from platforms, such as account names, post results, comments and search data, is deleted with the workspace.
  • Workspace content, including sources, documents, facts, brand settings, campaigns, drafts and media, is deleted.
  • Published posts stay on the platforms. Posts already published to your social accounts belong to those accounts, and we cannot remove them after access is revoked. Delete them directly on each platform if you want them gone.
  • Billing records and limited security logs are kept only as long as the law or security needs require. Your Stripe subscription is cancelled.
  • Backups containing deleted data expire on their normal schedule and are not restored except to recover from an incident.
